I would highly recommend Mr Sayegh. My every interaction with him was met with kindness, professionalism and attention. Mr. Sayegh made me feel like I was his one and only patient, by giving me as much time as I needed. He explained everything to me with words, diagrams, scans and photographs. This helped me feel well informed and prepared before my endoscopy and enabled me to understand the outcome and results after the procedure. I'm very grateful to him for noticing my underlying anxiety and treating me in such a way that I did not have a negative experience at all. If I need to see a consultant in his field again, he would always be my choice.

I think any patient who goes for a consultation with Mr. Sayegh will have immediate and full confidence in him, and will connect with his friendly manner. He explained to me clearly what treatment he proposed to deal with my inguinal hernia and reassured me regarding the use of mesh control going forward. I had probably left having treatment too long as the hernia was confirmed just before the first lockdown - after surgery Mr. Sayegh advised that it had developed to be the size of his fist! I felt that he was rather pleased to have something that was not too routine to deal with - and I was certainly pleased to have an experienced surgeon who was not thrown by something slightly left field! I suffered much less pain than I had expected and was able to resume gentle but normal living within a couple of days. I was telephoned three days after my surgery on a Saturday afternoon by Mr. Sayegh to check on my progress. I must therefore highly recommend his skill and professionalism, and the great care I have had. I also found the care given at Goring Hall by the anesthetist Dr. Wade and the nursing support team to be excellent and provided in a very friendly manner.

I recently had a double inguinal hernia repair by Mr Sayegh. In the prior consultation he clealry explained the procedure and the possible problems which could occur afterwards. The op. was a complete success. His follow-up care was excellent, with a check-up shortly after the op and one a couple of months later. He emphasised that I could contact him at any time. I had a minor issue with a sore throat following the procedure (caused by the intubation). He answered the phone when I called him about this, and got the anaesthetist to call me. He clearly wants to ensure that his patients get the best service possible. The small abdominal incisions he had to make left very little mark - very neatly done. I couldn't recommend him more highly for his skill, care, and attentiveness.

I don't think anyone would chose to have surgery, but if one found oneself needing it, as I have on three occasions, I find it hard to imagine anything more that could be done to have a successful, comfortble and tidy (!) outcome than Mr Sayegh has always provided. He has been consistently reassuring, informed, skilled and considerate - worth travelling down from London for. The priority for him still seems to be doing a job well - from my experience elsewhere, not a safe assumption. I could not speak of him more highly.

I am suffering from a pain in my my abdominal area and have had numerous tests through Benenden and as a result the pain was diagnosed to be either adhesions or nerve damage. My membership with Benenden gave me the opportunity to select a Consultant and luckily I selected Mr Mazin Sayegh. Mr Sayer thought it was probably nerve damage but thought that adhesions, following a gall bladder removal operation ten years ago, could not be ruled out. The pain was increasing and I wanted to investigate the adhesions so elected to have a laparoscopy. This was carried out by Mr Sayegh on a Friday afternoon, everything was explained to me beforehand and I knew what to expect. Mr Sayegh was both friendly and professional in his manner and was keen to keep in contact with me following the operation. I attended a follow up review with Mr Sayegh four weeks after the operation and he explained, using photographs, which adhesions he had separated. This was very interesting and helpful and although the pain has changed slightly it has now pointed me in the direction of the pain clinic. He also found another issue and said he would write to my doctor who has already acted on his advice. Mr Sayegh has during this time been friendly, helpful and professional in his manner and I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you.
